Semi-finished products

Steel slabs

Slabs

They are obtained by the continuous casting of steel or rolling ingots on a rolling mill and cutting them into various lengths. They are used as a starting material in the production process of other flat products.

Billets and Blooms

They are semi-finished steel products. Blooms are basically larger billets. They are obtained by the continuous casting of steel or rolling ingots on a rolling mill. They are used as a starting material in the production process of other long products.

Tin Plate Coil

Tin Plate Coil

Obtained by electro-plating a thin Finished Cold Rolled Coil with a thin layer of tin. It can be found on the market in coil or in sheets and is further processed into finished products by the manufacturer. Electrolytic Tin Plated Steel is used primarily in food cans, and industrial packaging. Typical thickness is from 0.13 to 0.49 mm. typical width is from 600 to 1,100 mm.

Cold rolled steel sheet

The final thickness has been obtained by rolling at room temperature. Cold rolled sheet products provide specific attributes such as high formability, deep drawability, high strength, high dent resistance, good magnetic properties, and paintability. It is used in a wide variety of end applications such as Household appliances, automobiles and bathtubs.

Cold rolled steel sheet

Steel Plates

Plates

They are produced by hot-rolling reheated slabs. Typical thickness is between 2 to 20mm and maximum width is 1860 mm. Plates are used as a structural material for bridge construction, storage vessels, tanks, shipbuilding, line pipe, industrial machinery and equipment.

Hot dipped Galvanized Steel

Hot dipped Galvanized Steel

Obtained by passing Cold Rolled Coil through a molten zinc bath, in order to coat the steel with a thin layer of zinc to provide corrosion resistance. It can be found on the market in coil or in sheets and is further processed into finished products by the manufacturer. Applications include domestic applications, building applications, automotive applications, lighting fixtures, drums and various kinds of sections applications and profiled sheets.

Hot Rolled coils

Hot rolled coil is rolled on a hot strip mill from slabs. It can be found on the market in coil or in sheets and is further processed into finished products by the manufacturer. The various types of Cold-rolled Steel are used as primary material for finished cold rolled coils and coated coils. In addition, it is used directly in a variety of industrial applications.

Hot Rolled coils

Coated Steel Coil

Color coated, or pre-painted, steel, is steel coil to which a paint, powder or film coating has been applied in a continuous process prior to it being cut and shaped. Coating steel improves durability and lengthens product life. Typical applications are for metal roofing, automotive, building applications and domestic application.

Long products

Engineering steel

Engineering steel

SBQ steel is the highest quality long product. It typically requires customer approval for strength, life and other engineering parameters and is generally sold under contract to long-term customers. It is used in safety-critical applications such as axles, crankshafts, transmission gears, bearings and seamless tubes.

Structural sections

Structural sections

They are shapes produced in a rolling mill from reheated blooms or billets. They include wide-flange beams, bearing piles, channels, angles and tees. They are used mainly in the construction industry.

Wire Rod

Hot rolled from steel billet, wire rod is delivered as coil, most commonly at 5.5mm dia, but in sizes up to 60mm dia. They are used in the automotive, construction, welding and engineering sectors.

Wire Rod

Bars

They are rolled from billets. Merchant bar and reinforcing bar (rebar) are two common categories of bars. Merchant bars include rounds, flats, angles, squares, and channels that are used by fabricators to manufacture furniture, stair railings, and farm equipment. Rebar is used to strengthen concrete in highways, bridges and buildings.

Tubes & Pipes

Seamless tubes

Seamless Tube

Tubes without a seam, manufactured from an ingot, billet or bar, or by centrifugal casting. Seamless tubes are made by piercing ingots, billets or bars to obtain tube hollows. These hollows are then transformed into tubes by rolling, extrusion or drawing over a mandrel. Seamless tubes may be finished by reducing the cross-section by hot or cold rolling or by drawing. Boiler tubing, the oil and gas industries and automotive transmission components are typical applications.

Welded Tubes

Tubes formed from either hot or cold rolled flat products, welded across the abutting edges. The weld may be either longitudinal or spiral. They are used in a wide range of general engineering applications as well as in power generation plants, oil refineries, automotive manufacturing and furniture production.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel

Stainlesss Steel

It is steel alloyed with carbon, chromium and even other elements such as nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, manganese, nitrogen, copper, silicon, aluminum and vanadium. Stainless steel has properties like resistance to corrosion in highly aggressive elements, resistance to oxidation at high temperatures, toughness and ductility at very low temperatures, strength and ease in fabrication.
